This week the 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize for Album of the Year was awarded to James Blake for Overgrown.
James now joins the esteemed company of previous Mercury prize winners including Primal Scream, Portishead, PJ Harvey, Badly Drawn Boy and Arctic Monkeys.
Overgrown was produced by Blake himself and features contributions from Brian Eno and Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer RZA from Wu-Tang Clan.
Blake, who beat the bookies favourite, Laura Mvula, was previously nominated for his self-titled debut album in 2011.
Music buyers are clearly reacting to the win, as Overgrown is straight up to #3 on Amazon’s overall music chart right now and #4 at iTunes.
