There are loads of family fun events being held across the country, including the annual Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt in aid of Barnardos in Merrion Square Dublin which Alison will be broadcasting live from on Saturday morning from 8-11am.
Also happening in Dublin is Little Growers in Airfield Estate where Keelings are on hand to kick off the Strawberry Season with lots of family fun while at the same time they will be raising funds for ISPCC and Childline. So win win!
There will be a Viking Invasion, with Viking Fest set to take place from March 30 – April 2, it is the perfect stop-off for anyone no matter what your age is, who want to learn more about the Vikings with loads of live demonstrations of what Viking life was like.
The Tir na Nog Children’s Festival is happening in Tralee and transforming the town into a kid’s wonderland for Easter weekend. There will be loads of Easter craft workshops, egg hunts, puppet shows and Easter High Tea.
Tomorrow on Good Friday, Cork’s Lifetime Lab is throwing a giant Easter Egg Hunt, chocolate for everyone! There will also be face painting, balloon making, falconry and magic shows throughout the day.
Always a fantastic place to visit Deepark Dublin is hosting a Madhatter’s Tea Party on Easter Sunday. Along with a massive egg hunt there will be a teacup ride, inflatable slides, face painting and loads more. And to top it off your favourite Tea Party characters Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter will all be there!
Wells House and Gardens in Wexford won best family day out on Weekend Breakfast two years ago as voted by the listeners and this Easter they are hosting an Electric Zoo. Life-size furry animals will be on hand to give hugs all day plus there will be a family BBQ to enjoy.
