Leinster winger could miss Champions Cup final
Fergus McFadden is a doubt for the remainder of Leinster's season. The winger has been cited for an alleged headbutt on Sean Reidy.
The alleged incident occurred in the first half of Ulster's 14-13 Guinness Pro 14 win on Saturday at Kingspan Stadium. A TMO review of the incident was carried out at the time, with referee George Clancy only awarding a penalty with McFadden receiving a warning.
The 32-year old would later go on to score a try in first half injury time.
McFadden will face a disciplinary panel via video conference on Wednesday, charged with "infringement of Law 9.12 – A player must not physically abuse anyone – Striking with the head." If found guilty, McFadden could miss Leinster's Heineken Champions Cup final date with Saracens in Newcastle on May 11th.
Leinster's next Pro 14 outing will be a semi final at the RDS on May 18th against the winner of this Saturday's meeting of Munster and Benetton.
The Heineken Champions Cup final is live on Off The Ball on Saturday May 11th.
