Cork singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist LYRA has released a new music video for her single ‘Falling’.
LYRA has spent the past year perfecting her sound, her inspiration coming from the likes of Kate Bush, Lykke Li and Bat for Lashes.
The result is a blend of dark electronic pop that is part vintage, part contemporary.
First Video Shoot
The shoot for Falling took place on the coast of Margate, featuring beaches and a very high up cave!
It being her first video, LYRA said the video shoot was one of her best experiences to date.
“It was so much fun making this video for ‘Falling’ - my first ever video and the whole team involved were an absolute dream to work with. I wanted this video to be a little insight into how I perform - I go a bit wild on stage when the music just takes over me!
I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t absolutely freeze my ass off - we shot outside by the sea for most of the day and I wasn’t exactly dressed for the weather!"

Gigs
LYRA has just announced a headline show at London’s Thousand Island in April.
She recently supported Dermot Kennedy on tour.
She also joined James Bay on the stage at Live At The Marquee in Cork.
We're hoping it won't be long until we have another Irish date.
