It has been confirmed that Denise Foster will take over the trainer's licence at Cullentra Stables while Gordon Elliott serves his ban.

Elliott was banned for 12 months, with the second six suspended, on Friday after appearing before the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB).

The hearing was in relation to an old photograph of the trainer sitting on a dead horse on the gallops at his stables near Summerhill in Co. Meath.

Elliott also agreed not to attend any race meetings or point-to-points for six months.

The trained agreed to accede to costs for the IHRB and the sanction will begin on March 9th.

Foster initially began training solely over jumps, but she started training on the Flat as well in 2011.

and enjoyed Listed success when Lily's Rainbow, who started off in handicaps with a rating of 67, won the Heritage Stakes at Navan in April 2016.

From her stable at Possextown, near Enfield in County Meath, Foster has sent out ten winners over the last five seasons, six on the Flat and four over jumps.

Her latest winner was Swiss Swoo in a 7f maiden at Dundalk on February 26.

The British Horseracing Authority responded to the ban on Friday evening saying that his horses will be able to run at this month's Cheltenham Festival and at Aintree, provided they're transferred directly to other licensed trainers prior to the ban commencing on March 9.

Earlier this week Cheveley Park Stud withdraw their horses from Elliott's yard, including the unbeaten Envoi Allen among.
