Businessman Jim Mansfield Junior has been found not guilty of conspiring with a criminal gang to have his former head of security kidnapped.
He was accused of luring Martin Byrne to a meeting, during which he was ordered to leave his home before being bundled into a car and assaulted.

His trial heard Mr Byrne was then taken to his home, where he was held against his will until a local Garda unexpectedly arrived on the scene.
The Special Criminal Court found insufficient evidence to convict the son of the late hotelier, Jim Mansfield Senior, on the conspiracy charge.
However, the judges of the non-jury court found him guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice by directing an employee to destroy CCTV evidence.
