The British Government has made a commitment to repeal and replace the controversial Troubles Legacy Laws.
The Tories passed the laws and gave effective immunity for crimes - including murder - committed during the Troubles.
The Irish Government had taken a case against the British Government as a result.
In outlining his Government's plans, Britain's King Charles said, "in consultation with all parties measures will be brought forward to begin the process of repealing and replacing the Northern Ireland Troubles Legacy & Reconciliation Act 2023."
