This week, Phil wound back the clock and teleported us to 1989.
A massive year for Irish television, as the nation was first introduced to the residents of Carrigstown...Fair City was born!
It was also a huge year for Irish education, as Ireland got it's first universities since the foundation of the State, when University of Limerick/Dublin are created on the same day.
Madonna hit the headlines in this year, and caused all kinds of crazy with the video for "Like A Prayer", in which the artist was depicted kissing a saint #saywhat
As for movies, it was the year of the sequel with "Lethal Weapon 2", "Back To The Future 2" and "Ghostbusters 2" all being released.
