Beck, Talk Talk, Trinity Summer Series & Jack O'Rourke
The Paul McLoone Show is the home for the punks, the subversive, the gentle and the classic, the new and the new to you sounds.
Mark Hollis of Talk Talk has died. The legendary lead singers death has sparked some gorgeous tributes on social media. Paul will be paying tribute on Tonights show and throughout the week.
And Mark Hollis has died too. RIP.
Talk Talk, like Depeche Mode, are one of those bands that trigger a rush of memories of a past that I haven't forgotten so much as put in a box to come back to when necessary.
Going to go listen to The Colour of Spring now.— TonyCross (@Lokster71) February 25, 2019
This week Paul will be taking a look at Becks 'Mellow Gold' album as it turns 25 on Friday 1st March. Eeep! The album is somewhat seen as his breakthrough into a wider audience as it features this absolute classic. (I remember hearing this for the first time on pirate radio back in 1994).
You can expect tracks all week from it.
Cork Native Jack O'Rourke is a rare talent, a man who is able to traverse genres, with a voice of gold. He is in The McLoone Sessions this Wednesday. Don't miss him performing his latest single 'Ivory Towers' on the show.
Here is an out take from the session!

You can win tickets for a mountain of gigs all week. Including to see this genius, Janelle Monae in The Trinity Series on the 3rd July.
If you haven't treated yourself to her emotion video which is the entire album set to a film, then do this now!
