Brad Pitt showed up at the court house in downtown this week, to be interviewed for jury duty along with dozens of other potential jurors. But after waiting hours for his turn in the jury box, the court let him know his services wouldn’t be needed - he’d be too much of a distraction.
It would definitely be distracting – imagine some really harrowing murder case, and everyone asking Brad for a selfie.

Mark will be performing at Scala, London, on 4 March.
Jon Hamm has said that he thinks working as an actor in the UK is "civilised" compared to America.
The Mad Men star shot the TV show Black Mirror in London, and appreciated the fact that he had regular working hours.
"You have an end of the day that is resolute. It's civilised.
"In the States, we go until the work is done or until you fall over, and it is a disaster. You cannot have plans. You just work until you stop working.
"[In London], you work until five o'clock and then you go home, and you go to a hotel and have dinner and see a show. It is awesome."
That’s all well and good but let’s focus on Black Mirror for a second. Written by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror is one of the best works of science fiction I've seen on television in a long time.
