Fourteen years after winning the second and final year of Pop Idol, Michelle McManus has thrown her hat in the ring and has become a surprise contender for the Christmas top spot with lots of different special choirs, who call themselves Choirs With a Purpose.
They will sing Paul McCartney’s We Stand Together and he has waived his royalties, meaning all profits from the song will be split equally between the choirs for charity work after it is released on November 24.
