Calvin Harris attended the Casers Palace 50th Anniversary Gala this weekend and was awarded with the Future Icon award, which is lovely for him but when he took to the stage to collect the award, the host Howie Mandel had a few cheap shots lined up. He greeted him by saying ‘Nice suit Calvin, who is your tailor’. Calvin didn’t look too impressed at all. He laughed it off but you could tell that he was absolutely raging and to be fair, can you blame him?!

If you’re a fan of BBC TV show ‘Peaky Blinders’, you’re going to want to hear this – you can now stay go ‘full Tommy Shelby’ and stay in a Peaky Blinders hotel! Fans of the 1920 gangster series can stay in sympathetically restored rooms above the ‘Peaky Blinder Bar’ in SouthPort which plays 1920s music and has a nice big picture of our own Cillian Murphy aka Tommy Shelby on the wall. Now the series is set in Birmingham so if you’re going to be pedantic about it, it really should be in Birmingham but….there you go.

It was revealed that Leonard Cohen penned an emotional final letter to his dying muse Marianne Ihlen whom he met in Greece in the 60s and was immortilised in the songs ‘So Long, Marriane’and ‘Bird on Wire’. Marianne’s close friend got in touch with him to let him know she was dying and two hours later, a beautiful letter arrived

Well Marianne it’s come to this time when we are really so old and our bodies are falling apart and I think I will follow you very soon. Know that I am so close behind you that if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine. And you know that I’ve always loved you for your beauty and your wisdom, but I don’t need to say anything more about that because you know all about that. But now, I just want to wish you a very good journey. Goodbye old friend. Endless love, see you down the road

Marianne slipped into unconsciousness and passed away less than two days later.

James Corden says he has stopped standing up when he is going to the toilet because he is too busy on his mobile phone. He revealed that he sits down on the jacks to continue his work on his phone, obviously when he is using the urinal it’s a different story but he takes any opportunity to use the cubicle so he can take his time perusing. Lovely.
