According to a new survey Brits have more that 50 names for their remote controls: everything from zapper to switcher, flapper to troll.
Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show listeners shared their nicknames today. Wow, we are an imaginative bunch:
- Ian, our remote control is called 'FRANK'. Frank Zapper!! I’m showing my age now! Jim

- Ours is called the power

- Morning Ian. My daughter leyla called it the ‘tro-camole’ from when she first talked, and she’s a huge tv fan!!!So much so that the rest of the family did too and do so to this day and Leyla’s 14 now

Gary had a very sensible observation: Ian it's called a remote because that's the chances of finding it when you want to change channels. How true.
