Shauna went out to Dublin Airport yesterday to chat to some of the people coming home for Christmas.
But before they arrived, she spoke to their friends and families waiting for them at the arrivals gate. They were coming from Canada, Melbourne, New York, New Zealand, Munich, Singapore, San Francisco and just about from every corner of the world.
We're not embarrassed to admit that we BAWLED here in the office when we listened to this.
And then the moment came when sons, daughters, sisters, brothers and friends walked through the door in the arrivals hall. Some hadn't changed a bit, some lost a bit of weight and a few mammies were shocked by beards and long hair.
All their families could say was "WELCOME HOME".
All the returnees could say was "jaysus it's FECKIN' FREEZING!!".
