Wedding season is in full swing and if, like us, you’ve been a guest at approximately 4584 nuptials in the past few years than you’ll know plenty of newlyweds and in fact, you might be one yourself!
If so, we need your help!
Following on from the massive success of last year’s ‘Wedding Dress Wednesday’ as part of Today FM’s Dare to Care, we are doing it again and this year, we’re going bigger and better.
If you are interested and want to sign up now, you can do so here!
This year, the date to remember is Wednesday 20th of September 2017.
We’re daring the women (and men) of Ireland to dig out wedding dresses, stick on the spanx and do what they’d normally do on a Wednesday, but in a wedding dress.
Last year, we spoke to women across the country working on factory floors, dropping the kids to school, doing their shopping, driving a forklift and going to the gym in their wedding dresses, all to raise valuable funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
We even had a bride at the National Ploughing Championships!
If you’ve never been married, don’t worry, charity shop dresses, bridesmaid dresses and debs dresses will suffice.
Lads, you aren’t off the hook– if you don’t feel like wearing a dress, black tie and tuxes will do just fine!
We bet you’re only dying to get that dress on you again! Get your friends involved and organise an event or go solo but whatever you do, pass on the word.
The more people who get involved, the less bizarre it will seem!
Remember, all proceeds will go to the Irish Cancer Society and will help them continue the wonderful work they do to help the patients and families of those going through cancer.
If this floats your boat and you are interested and want to sign up now, you can do so here!
If you are curious but need more details or a bit of a push, drop us an email on daretocare@todayfm.com and we’ll give you a buzz.
Go on, WE DARE YOU!
