But the internet isn't too sure about it
Sunday night's Grammy Awards 2019 included a secret treasure among the plethora of the gold-plated gramaphone trophies, as a new trailer for Disney's live-action remake of 'Aladdin' aired during the ads.
We've known for a while now that Hollywood legend Will Smith was the chosen one to taken on the role of 'Genie', the much-loved character voiced by Robin Williams in the original 1992 animated musical fantasy movie.
But the first look of a fluorescent blue CGI Smith left viewers bemused and frightened, with him being likened to a mixture of an Avatar and Shrek:
Wait shut the front door... A real life #Aladdin is happening yasss!!!! And freaking Will Smith is the Genie!!!! Yasssss!!!!!
