Ed Sheeran has been nominated for three prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards, including best artist.

He's up against Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Lorde in that category because they are now genderless, as we found our recently. (The awards, not the artists.)

The VMAs take place next month in California.

The first trailer for a new film centred around the events of 9/11, starring Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg, has been condemned as “awful and manipulative”.
It is due to be released in US cinemas on September 8 and the trailer features a scene in which Sheen utters the line, “They say it’s not the fall that kills you…” before the elevator he’s in begins hurtling towards the ground. Eek.

Emma Willis is morto at her relatives. She was visibly shocked in her episode of Who Do You Think You Are when she discovered that her five-times-great great grandfather Richard Fowler tried to kill a blacksmith and his son, as he suspected that they were making weapons for the United Irishmen, who opposed British rule in the country.

She says it’s horrific and; “how can you defend doing that to somebody? That was exactly what I didn’t want to find out.”

It’s due to air next Thursday, 3rd August.

Matt le Blanc turned 50 yesterday and the internet was a glorious place, full of good-natured teasing!
