They say that in every relationship there is a 'reacher' and a 'settler', and with writer Lee Child after dropping Tom Cruise like a hot snot, we know who's who here.
Since being cast as the action hero Jack Reacher in 2011, Cruise has played the role in two films, Jack Reacher (2012) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016), but creator Child Lee has revealed that a deal was signed last week to make a new streaming show for the small screen.
And it makes sense, because in Child's books, Reacher is described as 6ft 5in tall with hands the size of dinner plates - Cruise is 5ft 7in. Now I was never much good at maths but...
Lee is looking for fans to help with suggestions as to who could be Cruise's replacement in the reboot.
I'm just after googling 'what actors are 6ft 5in' and you'll never guess who was the first name to pop up. This guy:
