So Tinder can be hit and miss in Ireland - and worldwide, by the sounds of it. In Dublin, it starts out with "You've got a match!" which progresses to exchanging messages, which leads to number swapping and before you know it - you've got yourself a bonafide pen-pal!
How does it work in LA? Well, I went to have a sconce at how the Americans do it - and discovered they're a LOT more forward than the Irish. I met Marcus, a VERY TALL, very handsome, very American ex-sailor-turned-actor for a Tinder date here in L.A.
