The Golden Globes are on this weekend and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be out in full force – and if they’re any bit as good as they were last year, it’s going to be a cracker!
The Golden Globes take place on Sunday night and if Rosamund Pike doesn’t win Best Actress for Gone Girl, I will eat my hat.
Angelina Jolie is in Rome to promote new film Unbroken so while she was there, she popped into the Vatican to have a chat with Pope Francis. Just like that.
Snoop Dogg has confirmed an imminent new album and announced that it will be called Bush.
He announced details of the Pharrell Williams-produced record during a media panel in Las Vegas.
The record will be released through Pharrell's label i Am Other and Columbia Records.
And it’s called Bush.

GIGS
Fleetwood Mac – Their first gig in 3Arena sold out in seconds, their second gig sold out in seconds – so they added a THIRD DATE to their On With The Show tour. June 20th, July 10th and 11th.
Electric Picnic – (4th,5th,6th September). George Ezra is the only “main” act who’s been announced so far.
The Script – they’re the latest “Croke Park Announcement” (one which probably will go ahead) and they are EXCITED. With Pharrell Williams supporting them, they sold all 82000K tickets in less than 4 hours (June 20th)
Foo Fighters – Slane. Supported by Hozier, this will be one of the biggest gigs of the year – with many people admitting they’re only going because of Hozier!
Taylor Swift – darling I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream. 29th and 30th June 2014. YUSS.
AC/DC – their 1st July gig in the Aviva sold out in SECONDS.
One Direction – “On The Road Again” Tour (do they EVER stop?!) 3Arena on 16th,17th,18th October.
U2 – nothing has been announced for their 2015 World Tour yet, but they TOLD IANO that they’re looking to do some “smaller” gigs in Ireland at the end of 2015
ALBUMS
Adele – literally nobody knows anything about this one except it was meant to be released at the end of 2014, and Phil Collins was left hanging after finished one of her songs for her (at her request). Can she write songs when she’s happily settled?!
Meghan Trainor – due for release in January – will there be hits as good/as big as All About That Bass?
Rihanna surprised everyone by not releasing anything new in 2014, which is unusual for her. Plenty of sources have confirmed that she is in the studio, but nobody seems to know when the album will drop, other than “some time” in 2015.
Kanye West
Though nothing has been announced yet, Mister Kardashian has reportedly already played the music several times at various events and parties, and those who have heard the samples say it is “expectedly brilliant.”
Madonna
Has to be better than MDNA, which wouldn’t be hard. Her new stuff sounds like her old stuff, which is a step in the right direction.
FILMS
Fifty Shades Of Grey

Jurassic World
Steven Spielberg long-awaited next instalment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar, off of Costa Rica's Pacific coast, now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World. The park's geneticists create a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur to boost visitor attendance but unfortunately for them and thankfully for cinema goer it all goes horribly wrong! Well they do say you should never work with children or Velociraptors!
Star Wars – The Force Awakens
THE MOST ANTICIPATED FILM OF 2015!! Unbelievably, cinemagoers still have almost a year to go until Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the 7th instalment of the legendary franchise, hits cinemas on 18 December 2015. Will it be any good? JJ Abrams has enveloped the production in such a shroud of secrecy that it remains very hard to tell, but the signs are positive. The teaser trailer is on course to be the most-viewed of all time, but the return of Star War old schoolers like Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will guarantee to keep the Star Wars fanatics happy!
