In a first for a UK ad, the story of Dave and his battle to juggle work with family life stretches for three minutes and 20 seconds, making it the longest ever.
It is one minute and 20 seconds longer than the John Lewis version and took over the entire adbreak in ITV’s 9.15 slot during ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here on Monday.
Now they’re saying it could be the Christmas number 1 in the UK which could annoy Ed Sheeran...
Ed Sheeran wins GRANNY award!
We heard yesterday that Ed Sheeran is apparently writing (or has written!) the winner’s song for this year’s X Factor (and it looks like he’ – but he’s also been hard at work in the studio on other stuff. Among all the songs he’s trying to whittle down for his new album is a song about his granny, with whom he is very close. Her name is Anne, she lives in Wexford, she’s 91 and he adores her.
Kieran O’Reilly, the actor who shot to fame as Det Ciaran Madden in Love/Hate is now set to make the move on to the silver screen after being cast in upcoming film The Professor And The Madman.
O’Reilly, who is also a real life garda, will act with Sean Penn and Mel Gibson, as well as Game Of Thrones star Natalie Dormer.
Bob off Fair City is also in the film.
It’s looking more and more likely that Nicky Byrne may be in line to host the Irish version of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing With The Stars. Other presenters who have gone for the auditions like Vogue Williams and Deirdre O’Kane have openly stated they did not get the job – but Nicky has remained tight-lipped.
The Sun today reveals that Hughie Maughan, the Irish lad who came second on this year’s Big Brother, was chosen as the first celeb to dance his way into the competition. They require 12 hours of dancing a week and they will be paid 3,300 a week – and the winner will scoop 24,600.
