The Great British Bake-Off ended last night. And the winner is... Sophie! Surprised? Nope, didn’t think so. What a mistake to make – Prue Leith tweeted the winner 9 hours before the final on Channel 4, and people were so upset by it. Her excuse was that she was in India and got confused by the time difference. Her tweet emerged minutes after Channel 4 confirmed that all the same faces would return next year. Phew!

Dancing With The Stars Ireland – it’s fast approaching and the stars rumoured to be talking to RTE bosses include Marty Morrissey (woo!) and... relatives of famous people. Huh? Relatives include Erin McGregor, sister of Conor, Fiona O’Carroll, daughter of Brendan and Jake Carter, brother of Nathan. So Dancing With The Stars’ Families, RTE One in January.
Speaking of Brendan O’Carroll, he is auctioning off his private VIP box in the Aviva stadium, for this weekend's FAI cup final between Cork and Dundalk.
The box will go to the highest bidder and 23 of their pals and all money raised will go to The Grace Nolan Foundation.
To be in with a chance of winning, email your bid to valerie@bocproductions.ie by 6pm on Friday.
