Writer Stuart Carolan wouldn’t give anything away about the new series of Love/Hate but promises that it will be darker still and that there’s an increased Garda presence this season.
He spoke about the concerns of losing the audience with the darker subject matter but explained that you have to try and do the best show: “it’s hard not to get a little worried”.
He also spoke about the success of the show and revealed one regret: “I didn’t know [the show] was ever going to...keep going like this so in some ways I kind of think, half wish, I hadn’t killed off Aidan Gillen...”
Season 4 of Love/Hate begins on RTE One at 9.30pm this Sunday
