ZIG A ZIG ARRRRGH! The Spice Girls 20 Year Reunion is in crisis because Mel C refuses to take part without Victoria Beckham. Posh Spice has told her former bandmates that she is too busy with her fashion line but Sporty Spice, Melanie Chisholm has said that the tour will only go ahead if all cogs are in place. They had planned the shows around the 20 year anniversary of Wannabe in 2016 and there are fears that the delay could lose the band gigs. The band was last on stage as a 5 piece at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics in 2012 and Victoria said it was a perfect way to say goodbye. According to reports, they each stand to make 10 million from the reunion so I’m sure it’s very important to all of them that it goes ahead.
RTE is pulling out all the stops for its big budget historical drama Rebellion with a massive budget of €6 million. But creators say that despite it being one of the biggest spends for Irish television, it’s a bargain. The show, that begins in January, is set before, during and after the 1916 rising and has been likened to an Irish version of Downton Abbey and stars big Irish names like Charlie Murphy (Siobhan) and Ruth Bradley (Mary) of Love / Hate, Briain Gleeson and Niamh Cusack. Rather the focusing on the big historical names of the rebellion, it revolves around the livers of about 5 or 6 major characters and shows the events play out through the eyes of these characters. I’m really looking forward to this! It begins on January 3rd on RTE 1.
Well thanks Ed, that’s blown our ‘nice socks and bath set’ out of the water. Ed Sheeran has splashed out on a new home for his parents John and Imogen and has even thrown in a car. The flat, worth in the region of €975,000 is right opposite Ed’s own house. Now that he has taken a break, he’ll be able to spend a bit of quality time with them I’m sure. He could maybe help them put up a few shelves and the like.
BUM DEAL! Kim Kardashian launched a range of Kimojiis yesterday and she BROKE the internet (again). Upon the launch, Kim has tweeted that her Kimoji app crashed Apple's app store entirely and that her app was also down. The Kimojiis included her lips, her crying face and of course her bum. I love a good emojii as much as the next person but I won’t be investing….
