Benedict Cumberbatch announced his engagement to Sophie Hunter in the marriages section of The Times yesterday morning – and the Cumberbitches are distraught.

Britney Spears is being given the key to Las Vegas, on what is being dubbed at Britney Day. It follows the success of her show there, which has brought in more than a million dollars a week since it started nearly a year ago.
