We've missed that unique monotone sound of Morgan Freeman. He refused to tell us where he has been the past few weeks, but we suspect he was just so engulfed with the GAA Championship, that he cocooned himself away at home, watching re-runs of The Sunday Game in his Marty Morrissey pyjamas.
Regardless, he was back in full swing today. We were delighted to see his grey, curly head pass by the studio, and boy was he happy. Yesterday's game has reignited his spark and had him on the edge of his seat, "I don't think I've gotten this excited since the day I was told I was leaving Chokie".
He was there, smack bang in the middle of the Croker spectacle; he was highly impressed by the battle between Donaghy and O'Shea but cannot understand how Mayo keep ending up level, "They do more drawing than Don Conroy".
The person sitting beside him had a lot riding on the game, so when Paddy Durcan popped over the equaliser in the dying seconds, he had made a mint...
