Is this the face that launched a thousand swoons? Um, actually - YES!
This week on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, we gave away €1000 every day, thanks to Heinz "Grow Your Own". So, we decided to grow our own tomato songs - we threw the word "tomato" over well known lyrics and listeners had to guess what the lyric was meant to be.
But we were faced with the ultimate dilemma; who could accept the challenge of Tomato Man? With great responsibility comes great power - and we knew the Chosen One would have to be diverse, confident, diligent, dynamic and courageous.
Agreeing to face the challenge head-on was lionhearted Patrick Haughey, Producer of The Last Word. Women all over the country were weak for the Voice of Tomato Man - with such texts as "Your tomato fella has improved a few of those songs", "Is your Tomato Lad Chris O'Dowd?" and "Tomato Man sounds like a beauty. Is he single?"
We like to give our listeners what they want - so we gave them Tomato Man. (Below is a sample Facebook and texts received after Tomato Man bounced out of studio)
Antoine: Love the way he says tomato!!
Gearodin: Mmmm tasty!!
That guy is far more entertaining than Chris O'Dowd..Colette, Cork

Funny guy Ian - you should do a Ian Dempsey show meets Matt Cooper show
