Today's Milestone Music Moment was sent in by Sharon Murphy in county Louth, and always reminds her of a very special U2 gig in Lansdowne Road in 1997...
Sharon and her then boyfriend went along to see U2 play their second show at the iconic venue. The sad news of Princess Diana's death had been filtering through that day, and the band had a huge image of the "Princess of Wales" behind them on stage. The crowd was amazing and in the midst of it all, Shane asked her to be his wife. Naturally she was ecstatic and said "Yes!" straight away...or did she??
"One" instantly became their song, but they also have another U2 track that holds a place in their hearts. Bono and the boys really do mean a lot to them both.
A great story, epitomising what a Milestone Music Moment is all about.
