Every Tuesday, we dedicate this segment to the songs that bring you right back to a very specific time in your life - first love, exams, moving out from home, backpacking around the world, nights out, nights in, going to college, bad jobs, falling in love, falling out of love, weddings and babies.
For coming on the show and sharing your Milestone Music Moment, we'll send you a lovely momento of your story. You will receive all the elements of the tale - the date, lyrics of the song and more, all on a beautifully finished poster for you to treasure.
This week's Milestone was brought to us by Hanneke Vermolen in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, with a song that transports her back to 'The Four Seasons' bar in Capel Street, Dublin, back in the day.
After a flash-in-the-pan romance with her then boyfriend, Hanneke still frequented the bar he worked in, due to mutual friends. To add salt to the wound (he broke up with her), every time she went into the bar, he would play a certain song...that she didn't find particularly funny - No Doubt's "Don't Speak". The opening lines are cruel under the circumstances.
They all saw the funnier side of the song over time, and since then, herself and her ex have become best of friends with some very strong connections.
