Today, the 25th June, marks 25 years since the Ireland v Romania game of Italia 90 which saw Ireland make the quarter finals of the World Cup.
This morning we went full on nostalgia, with one full hour of 1990 songs (Adamski, Charlatans, Madonna) peppered with stories from people who were at the game, people who were in school or in a pub, and people who were on a train and getting updates on the score from the train driver! We even had a caller from Orlando in Florida!
Have a listen to the highlights from the show...there may be tears/hairs rising from necks!
We received thousands of texts, e-mails and tweets during the show and here's just a sample:
Hi Hector I'll never forget the shoot out we were shearing sheep and when it went to penalties we all went in to my grand parents house to watch it it was brill !! And every one had a drop of whiskey from my grandad when we won great times.

Cathal in Inishowen was 13 - I remember watching the match laying on my bed on a 16 inch TV , when Packie saved the peno I put my foot through the plasterboard wall !!
Becky from Roscommon said - Hi Hector. Remember watching it with friends in a packed pub of Irish called The Swan in Stockwell, London. We ended up dancing on streets and the pub was surrounded by riot police. They were called as people passing thought there was a row!! The police were sound and ended up laughing at us all and getting pics taken!
Lump in my throat stuff, reliving 1990 with @hectorirl and @todayfmofficial

Padraig Marum sent us this amazing pic of an Italia 90 milk bottle, his Dad was a milkman at the time and they even took it out of its glass case and poured the milk in for us!
George McGrath said - Unreal memories Hector. On the night of the match I was driving to Rome with Johnnie Quinn from Scarriff to get tickets for the Italy game when we saw Ronnie Whelan and his wife walking. We stopped and gave them a lift and we actually spent the night drinking with Ronnie, Chris Hughton, Paul McGrath and Kevin Sheedy. What a time.
Proper shivers listening to @todayfmofficial this morning. #italia90 We'll always be part of Jackie's army ðŸ™
