Mary Byrne is writing a murder mystery novel.
The X Factor star says she's taking on the task to try and keep her life interesting.
The singer added that performing is still her main passion but she's also excited to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer.
She told TV Now magazine that the writing process is a lot harder than she thought but revealed that she "can see it in Hollywood. I can see it on the big screen”.
"Believe you me, it's not as easy as it comes across to write a book".
