A tearful apology from the actor
Leigh Francis has issued an apology for dressing up as black celebrities in Bo Selecta.
The actor - who plays Keith Lemon on television – went to Instagram to say sorry for his Channel 4 2002 show where he played versions of celebrities like Mel B, Craig David, Michael Jackson and Trisha Goddard.
"It's been a weird few days, I've sat and thought about things and what I could post to help things.
"Been talking to some people, I didn't realise how offensive it was back then.”
He was very emotional while addressing the issue and hopes people can forgive.
Francis and John Brennan are looking for new participants for the new series of At Your Service. Hotels are set to reopen from 20th July and the brothers feel they can help with getting owners ready for reopening under new guidelines and restrictions.
Francis says: “We’re all facing huge challenges. John and I would really like to help other hoteliers navigate this process and help future-proof their business.”
John added: “Hospitality continues to suffer more than most due to lockdown. We understand the pressure this has placed on so many businesses.
“But we believe this challenge can be a real opportunity as more and more people are planning to holiday at home in Ireland this year.
They are looking to help 4 hoteliers to guide through reopening with the new rules under restrictions and filming will need to get underway in the next few weeks – Waddell media.
