Katy Perry has been announced as the host of the MTV Video Music Awards.
She's also nominated for five prizes at the ceremony this year, including best pop for Chained To The Rhythm and best collaboration for Feels.

In order to find their lead, the casting directors visited orphanages and slum schools and set up a game for the children there; they put money on the table and asked the child to think of something she needed the money for, and then told them to snatch it away. The director would pretend to catch the child, and the child would have to come up with a lie.
The girl they cast stared at the money for a long time and said she needed the money because her grandfather died and they didn’t have money for a nice funeral.
