After a couple of hectic weeks for the Minister for Training and Skills (a title becoming more and more ironic), Mr.Halligan today made a brave decision to stand in front of the ceann comhairle and apologise for his wreckless behaviour.
The absent-minded peace mission to North Korea was bad enough, but it was his comments in 'that' interview which landed him in hot water.
To fortify how sorry he really is, John has composed his own sincere version of "Something Stupid", a version that "Ol' Blue Eyes" himself would be proud of, and performed it live at Leinster House.
He sings about his actions putting some of his colleague's lives at risk (but still thinks he prevented armageddon), how people now mix him up with another minister, "but it seems to me, that all you see, is Willie O'Dea after crystal meth", and regrets asking that lady such a daft question.
Amazing stuff from the Waterford wonder. We cannot wait to hear more of his material...
