We've all had that purple patch before, you know the ones - where you get lots of good news in a short space of time and you're riding on the crest of a wave. Well that's exactly what has happened to the chief executive of the FAI over the past few weeks.
Not only have Ireland made it to the World Cup Play-Offs against Denmark (with more tickets being made available for the away leg) - he has also gotten engaged to the gorgeous Emma, and to top it all off he turned the big 5-0 at the weekend.
John was on the line to Ian this morning to laugh his way through reliving the mental weekend he had...and it's not over yet.
He speaks of his news with Emma being like a song from 'Hot Chocolate' and how Roy Keane's heartfelt message to him was greatly appreciated. We even have the audio to play back to him, and Keano sounds...ehhh...sincere?? #awks
The chat is interrupted though as a waitress comes to tell John the damage......
