Netflix picked up Rebellion a few months ago and now they have invested in a the follow-up series! The mini-series dramatises events of 1916, and it was the most expensive drama produced by RTE, costing 6 million euro. The next one will focus on events from 1919-1921, The War of Independence.
The series started off back in January with a huge audience but dwindled a bit with viewers branding it “repetitive”.
Dolly Parton says she hasn’t got time for “sagging and dragging”. She has a new album out (Pure and Simple) and is currently touring the US and despite being 70, she won’t be slowing down any time soon. She said if she slows down, she might end up getting old...which is just another great quote among the rest. For example “it’s a good thing I was born a girl, otherwise I’d be a drag queen”, “it costs a lot of money to look this cheap” and “I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde joke because I’m not dumb...or blonde”.
