Since the invention of the smartphone people have been disputing which operating system is better: iOS or Android?

People generally tend to have a strong preference when it comes to their preference and it turns out it which one you choose says a lot about your personality.

According to a survey carried out by Slickdeals, iPhone and Android users differ greatly, from social behaviour to spending habits.

The survey of 1,000 iPhone owners and 1,000 Android owners found that those who use iPhone generally make more money, go on more holidays and have more friends.

However it's not all good news for Apple fans, as iPhone users also tend to spend more money on their image and buy more items of clothing and cosmetics than their Android counterparts.

The differences are even more apparent when it comes to social behaviour. Android users cited a night ‘curled up on the couch watching TV/movie or reading a book,’ as their perfect weekend night, while iPhone users prefer to be 'out and about with friends.'

In terms of entertainment, there are even bigger difference between the two. iPhone users generally opt for Horror, Drama, and Romance and stated their top shows are Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy and Friends. Android users on the otherhand prefer Thrillers, Action, and Adventure and claimed NCIS, Law & Order, and SNL were their favorites.

Finally, iPhone users take 12 selfies a day on average, while the number for Android users is much lower at 7.
