Seachtain na Gaeilge comes to an end tomorrow, after two solid weeks of promoting the beauty of the Irish language.
It may be over, but the St. Patrick's Day celebrations will keep the tricolour flying high over the next few days.
This time of the year is all about showcasing how much craic the Irish are, remembering the most famous Irishman ever, showing love for our native tongue, and belting some diddley aye out of the speakers until our inner leprechaun jumps out.
Well one man who has embraced every bit of this is Mayoman Michael Duffy, or 'Mick D' as he goes by. Michael is a primary school teacher in Culleens N.S, Ballina, Co. Mayo, and every now and again he transforms into his alter ego to bring the country some magic.
He's a huge advocate for the teanga gaeilge (Irish language), so decided to write a very special song for the week that's in it. Have a listen:
Mick D spits his lyrics to the masses with a beautiful reel by Dean Crouch, a chorus from Dennis and Sine Mccalmont, and an addictive beat to turn your veins green.
