This is the official statement on the Swedish Academy’s webpage regarding Bob Dylan’s “snub” of his Nobel Prize.
“Yesterday evening the Swedish Academy received a personal letter from Bob Dylan, in which he explained that due to pre-existing commitments, he is unable to travel to Stockholm in December and therefore will not attend the Nobel Prize Ceremony. He underscored, once again, that he feels very honored indeed, wishing that he could receive the prize in person.
We look forward to Bob Dylan’s Nobel Lecture, which he must give – it is the only requirement – within six months counting from December 10, 2016.
More information will follow on Friday, November 18.”
Go on Bob, have to hand it to him. The guy don't move for nothin' or noone!
Laura Whitmore is said to be really upset about the rumours that have been circulating over the past few days regarding her relationship with dancer Giovanni on Strictly Come Dancing.
A source (cough) told the Mail Online (cough cough): "Laura was a piece of work, she really was. She made Giovanni’s life hard.
“She was a difficult, cold fish – she was a bully to Giovanni and he behaved like a total gent.
"Laura sent him loads of texts basically saying he was no good and was not doing anything for her and abusing him.”
Meanwhile, another source has claimed the pair were secretly feuding because Laura found Giovanni to be rude.
She tweeted yesterday: “I believe in kindness. I am heart broken by the complete lies that have been printed today.”
She doesn’t seem the type...and after Will Young left, it seems that perhaps a bit of backstage b*tching is needed to promote the show?
Eagle-eyed viewers had a good aul laugh at Corrie the other night when Anna, who in true soap dramatics, had to re-learn to walk following the horrifying fireball incident, was seen hobbling around her living room with great difficultly.
However, the viewers were quick to point out that Anna’s trouble may have been down to her back-to-front crutches, rather than her injuries.
One tweeted: “Why is Anna using her crutches back to front? No wonder she’s having difficulty #corrie @ITVCorrie”
One of my favourite pastimes is pointing out continuity errors in TV and films. *nerdsnort*
