The IFTA nominations for TV were announced yesterday.
There are 24 categories in the Television Awards, ranging from programme genres to behind-the-scenes work.
50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge, The Imelda May Show and The Seven O’Clock Show will compete in the entertainment category, while Fair City, Red Rock and Ros na Run will battle for Best Irish Soap.
The IFTA Gala Television Awards will take place on October 7th.
Victoria Beckham opened her bag for Vogue Magazine – a bit like the bag drop we did here on Today FM. Hers started off normally:
- moisturiser
- hand cream
- lipsticks
- eye drops
A book, okay. Some kids’ books, yep normal.
But then she pulls out a load of crystals, which she says she 'really is into'. 'I am a real positive thinker,' she said. 'I believe in creative visualisation, glass is always half full - I have no time for anything negative. And actually, I bought crystals for all of my team, too.'
Maybe it’s time to leave LA Vic.
Adele will disappear again after this tour – for the next 10 years. She took a 5-year break before this album and she’s been on the road since March – and she’s still only half way through her world tour. She actually said on stage last week that touring isn’t really her thing as she’s a home bird – and her little boy is due to start school next year. He won’t be able to tour with her so she won’t be going anywhere – except, perhaps a little residency gig in Las Vegas, should the opportunity present itself. Seems to be what the rest of them did when they wanted a break (Britney, Elton, Celine Dion...)
Vogue Williams has tweeted “one bad photo and you’re fat, get an actual grip”.
She was snapped by paps in Ayia Napa in a black bikini and the photos appeared on the Sidebar of Shame on the Daily Mail. I was horrified by the comments I saw underneath – just so spiteful and untrue. Anyway, she voiced her displeasure on Twitter yesterday. If she’s “fat” god help the rest of us.
