Well, he did it! Ian got hitched. Kind of! Iano was dared to join in on Wedding Dress Wednesday and he said 'yes to the dress' to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society. You'll have seen the endless pictures of the blushing bride at this stage but a lot of effort went in to looking so good and we just want to thank everyone who contributed their time and products to make Ian so beautiful.

The Dress:
Possibly the most important part of all, Ian needed a dress=! He was looking for one that clung in all the right places and accentuated his womanly curves and we think you'll agree, he was a stunner. This is where the wonderful women in 'Smart Brides' came in. They happily provided Ian with his stunning bridal gown. Their generosity didn't stop there - they also helped us out with Shauna's beautiful dress and our wonderful bridesmaid Mario / Joan Burton's seductive black number. We'd recommend Smart Brides to anyone, they couldn't have been more helpful and if you are a bride looking for great service, the personal touch and a great selection of dresses, Smart Brides are the ones.
Shoes:
Every great dress needs a killer pair of heels. We thought we'd struggle to find the right pair but thankfully Bernie and the gang at Cinderella Shoes were on hand to provide Ian (and Mario) with a gorgeous pair of stilettos for the special day. Cinderellashoes.ie do large sizes for women from a size 8 -12 and what a selection they stock! They were happy to help Ian out and he even managed to walk in them for a few minutes. Not bad for an amateur heel wearer eh!?! Mario on the other hand? He has a bit more experience!
Suits:
Charlie and Stewart from the team were looking fierce dapper, decked out in their tuxes for the morning. This were kindly provided by Tango Menswear and the lads were treated like royalty!

Room decor & props
Late last night, when the rest of us were in bed, the wonderful people at The Wedding Festival.ie and a Room In Bloom were busily beavering away making the venue wedding ready. They really went the extra mile and added those unique finishing touches to pull it all together. They went above and beyond for Ian's Big Day and if there's another wedding on the cards, we'll be calling them again!
Wedding Photographer:
Photographer to the stars Jenny McCarthy cleared her schedule to come and be with Ian on his special day. She captured all those intimate moments, from the make up application to the dress zipping upping and everything else in between. Jen is a consummate professional and you wouldn't even know she was there! Plus, she's fairly handy at rounding up a crowd for a group shot! Big thanks to Jenny for providing her services completely free of charge, she's a busy woman and we really appreciate it! We're dying to see the finished pics. Maybe we'll get a wedding album.
Make Up Artist:
What can we say? Yvonne Maher and her side kick Mags got up at 3am and drove all the way up from Kilkenny to make Ian and Mario beautiful! Yvonne quietly beavered away on their make up, putting up with interruptions and lots of sweat beads to create the most beautiful 'romantic' look on the lads. She had her work cut out for her and played an absolute blinder. If you are looking for a make up artist for any event, Yvonne is your woman. Just Google her to get in touch.
Wedding Cake:
Thanks to Marks & Spencer for providing us with the delicious wedding cake! Yum! It went down a treat.
Ian’s Cake Topper
We wanted a personal touch to Ian's wedding cake and enlisted the help of Sarah's Clay Creations. She modeled a very lifelike clay 'Iano' complete with wedding dress, mic and headphones. A lovely gift for anyone!
Flowers:
The beautiful bouquets and buttonholes were created by Fionnoula in Scarecrow Flowers and they did a wonderful job. The fresh flowers really finished off the look and they went the extra mile to make Ian's a real showpiece.
Silver Bling:
Last but not least, thanks to Silverbling.ie for providing Ian and Mario with the dazzling clip on earrings that completed their wedding look!
