A couple of days back, a mysterious package arrived here at Today Fm HQ. It was addressed to a "Mr. Ian Dempsey" (whoever he is) and the Breakfast team were intrigued. "What could it be??" we pondered. Like a child on Christmas morning, Iano ripped off the packaging, and there it was...a portrait of the man himself. The artwork had been created by Kilkenny man Noel Campion, who is a journalist for the Irish Examiner.
Feeling honoured, Ian gave Mr.Campion a buzz to further explore his immortalisation. Unbelievably the picture was created entirely on an iPad Pro using an Apple pencil and the Apple app called "procreate" #mindblown
He told us of his earlier work and how the portrait of an Irish politician sparked off his latest creation...
