Wannabe was, without a doubt, one of the most iconic music videos of the 90s.

Who could forget the hair, the clothes, the poses?!

It's been widely reported that the hectic video was shot in one continuous take with a steady cam, but Mel C has finally set the record straight.

Speaking exclusively to the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, Mel was hesitant to answer when Ian questioned her about the Wannabe video being shot in one take.

"Well, it's kind of true, that was the intention. It was one camera and we rehearsed it as one piece but in the actual video there's one edit."

The video was groundbreaking at the time and it went on to inspire many other single-take videos.

But it looks like the Spice Girls cheated just a little bit and technically Wannabe wasn't shot in one continuous take.

Mel C joined Ian to chat about her love of performing, those constant Spice Girl reunion rumours, her daughter Scarlet and her upcoming Irish gigs.

Mel C plays Mandela Hall, Belfast, on April 12th and Vicar Street, Dublin, April 13th.
