Kasabian have won 2 prizes at the Q Awards - being named best act in the world, and best live act. (best act in the WORLD? REALLY?) Kasabian hit the headlines recently for calling a lot of their contemporaries 'boring' and not 'rock and roll'. Last night at the awards, they weren’t very complimentary to One Direction’s music and they said although they’re sound lads, they’re like 5 shop assistants. (More Topman than Abercrombie I’d think?)
I’m not sure One Direction are all that upset though because...
One Direction raked in 49 million pounds last year - nearly one million a week. New accounts from their 1D Media firm show earnings have increased dramatically for them, rising from 18 million pounds in 2012. It's thought their world tour, hit documentary and new album all helped push up profits. Not bad for 5 shop assistants, eh Kasabian?
Adele and Beyonce are teaming up to record a song together. The two - who were spotted on a night out in London together last week - are apparently considering a song written by Jay Z. It's not known when the track would be released, with Adele's third album not due out until 2015.
OR, maybe they were just 2 people out having a pint together.
SHREK has taken up residency in the Grand Canal – from now until 9th November. If you have kids, or even if you don’t – it’s a really funny musical (and I don’t especially like musicals - I couldn't WAIT for Wicked to be over). All your favourite scenes, gags and characters from the first Shrek film are included – with Lord Farquaad stealing the show with his hilarious walking, and not to mention facial expressions. Go see it!
