In January, we spoke to Alex O'Shea on his training for the Cork City Marathon. Alex wanted to set a new Guinness World Record for running the marathon, in his full firefighter uniform - steel boots and all!
Well, this weekend Alex completed the marathon and set a new world record! He ran the marathon in 3 hours, 41 minutes and 10 seconds, shaving 58 minutes off the current Guinness World record.
He ran over the finishing line with his two sons, Leon and Noah!
