I'm sure you've seen the video by now (well it has been filling feeds across all platforms), but just in case you haven't - here's the lowdown:
Ed Sheeran is currently wowing thousands of Sheerios across the planet as he performs his world tour, but it was a recent gig in Duluth Minnesota that caught the limelight more than others - all thanks to an Ireland-jersey-wearing-carpenter.
Ed is well and truly a one-man-band, just give him a few guitars and a loop and he'll make the magic happen. Recently however, the ginger pop God has enlisted the help of one of his buddies, and professional carpenter/musician, PJ Smith.
PJ currently works as a stage designer on the tour, but he was, at one time, a member of a chart topping Irish band by the name of "No Sweat".
As Mr.Smith was messing around on a piano one day, whilst working with James Blunt, Ed heard his talent and asked if he would accompany him on one of his tracks "How Would You Feel (Paean)", as it needed a strong piano section.
"Not only does he play piano, but he plays it very, very well".
After several refusals, PJ finally decided to help a brother out, and he gave it all his 'heart and soul' - making it viral. He has also joined Ed at New York, Dallas and Chicago.
It took some detective work, but we located PJ so Ian could find out more...
