Yes, Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth, is behind the new LGBTQ venue in Walford. After coming into a bit of money, Kathy decides to use the money to open the bar, to cater for Walford’s gay community.
Viewers will watch her debate on lots of different names for the new bar before settling on...... The Prince Albert. Cheeky.
The Prince Albert will make history for EastEnders as it becomes the first UK soap to have a gay bar within its permanent set.
