Duffy shocked the world a few weeks ago by revealing that during her decade-long break from music, she’d been recovering from being drugged, assaulted, and held captive. She had said that she was ready to talk about it but in the last few days has revealed that it’s too difficult for her at the moment.
She has been making music however, and she sent a song called “Something Beautiful” to BBC radio’s Jo Whiley, who played it last night. Duffy also said she has no plans to release this record but it might cheer people up if they’re on lockdown at home.
