In today's Irish Times, they're looking for the Best 99 in Ireland - and when we mentioned this on the show this morning, the text machine nearly blew up. We haven't seen you this animated since we were looking for the best chipper in Ireland! Here are some of the places you can find an EXCELLENT 99 around the four corners of Ireland:

Best 99 has to be Chambers Newsagents in Newport, Co. Mayo. The shop has been open since 1902 and it has been selling them as long as I can remember!
Best 99s in Malones garage Ardee. Generous portion, nice cone and lovely ice cream with the syrup added by the machine while filling the cone.

The best 99 in Ireland is in a small town in Cavan - Eddie O'Reillys shop in Virginia. I've had Teddy's and it doesnt even come close!!

Phil, Teddy’s in Dun Laoghaire has the best 99s ever - my 92 year old gran said that’s where she used to get her 99's when she was a girl - Declan, Dublin.
The best 99 to be got is in the Builin Blasta in Belmullet, and oh my god you have to try the ice cream smochies made with a bar of your choice! Yummy!
Pearce O’Neils in Ballyshannon has the best 99 in Ireland. You actually have to queue on the 1st day, St Patricks Day - you cannot get close to the shop. People drive from neighbouring towns with bowls for their Sunday ice cream. Bring it on Ann, Pearce and Rory!! Treacy in Donegal Town
