In The End...
The Cranberries have been shortlisted for Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards 2020. Vocal demos recorded by Dolores O’Riordan before her death in January 2018 were used. The album, called In The End, was released by surviving members earlier this year as a tribute to Dolores. The Grammy Awards will take place on 27th January in LA.
Dermot O’Leary says he has been booked for gigs by mistake! He said he has often turned up at public appearances where older ladies, in particular, were disappointed to see him and not Dermot Murnaghan from Sky News!
Laura Whitmore has written a short film called Sadhb which will screen at the Irish Film Festival London. It’s about a young mother who is struggling in life but puts on a mask for the rest of the world, and the message is that whatever you’re feeling, there are other who feel the same no matter who you are. She describes the short film as “a passion project”.
